Effective Date: May 24, 2026
ApexView (“ApexView,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal finance app designed to help users track accounts, assets, net worth, income, expenses, investment holdings, and retirement projections.
Your core financial records are stored locally on your device. This includes information such as account names, balances, holdings quantities, income, expenses, categories, net worth calculations, and retirement planning assumptions.
To provide certain optional or online features, including market quotes, foreign exchange rates, and symbol search, the App may send limited request information to our backend services, as described below.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ApexView processes, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
ApexView stores the financial information you enter into the App locally on your device so that the App can provide its core tracking and planning features.
This information may include:
ApexView does not require you to create an ApexView account to use its core features.
We do not upload your account names, balances, holdings quantities, income, expenses, net worth values, or retirement planning values to our servers for ordinary use of the App’s tracking and planning features.
ApexView may provide features that retrieve market quotes, foreign exchange rates, or investment symbol search results.
When you use these features, the App may send limited request information to our backend services, such as:
This information is used only to provide the requested quote, foreign exchange rate, symbol search result, or related reliability functions.
ApexView does not send your account names, balances, holdings quantities, income, expenses, net worth values, transaction history, or retirement planning values to our servers as part of these requests.
ApexView may allow you to voluntarily share anonymous technical diagnostic information to help us identify bugs, investigate failures, and improve App reliability.
Diagnostics are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share them. Diagnostic information is transmitted to our server only when you enable diagnostic sharing and manually choose to send a report through the App.
A diagnostic report may include:
/quotes, /fx, or /searchAnonymous diagnostics are designed to avoid including your personal or financial records.
Diagnostic reports do not include:
If ApexView offers an optional iCloud backup or synchronization feature and you choose to use it, the information included in that backup or synchronization is stored through your Apple iCloud account using Apple services.
We do not operate or control Apple’s iCloud service. Information stored in iCloud is handled by Apple according to your Apple account settings and Apple’s applicable privacy terms.
If you do not enable an iCloud backup or synchronization feature, your locally entered ApexView financial records remain stored on your device unless you independently back up your device through Apple services.
If ApexView offers an in-app purchase or subscription and you choose to purchase it, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store.
ApexView does not receive your full payment card information. Apple may provide the App with limited transaction or subscription status information required to confirm access to purchased functionality, restore purchases, or manage subscription access.
Your payment relationship with Apple is governed by Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
We use limited information processed through the App or our backend services only to:
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, user profiling, or marketing.
We do not sell your personal information or financial information.
We do not use ApexView data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
We do not display third-party advertising in the App.
We may process or disclose limited information in the following circumstances:
Our backend may use third-party market data or foreign exchange data providers to return quote, symbol search, or currency conversion information requested through the App.
These providers may receive limited information needed to fulfill a request, such as ticker symbols, symbol search terms, currency pairs, IP address, timestamp, and standard request metadata.
They do not receive your ApexView account names, balances, holdings quantities, income, expenses, net worth values, transaction history, or retirement planning values from us.
If you use App Store purchases, subscriptions, restore purchase functionality, or optional iCloud functionality, Apple processes information necessary to provide those services according to Apple’s applicable privacy practices.
We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of the App or our services.
Financial records, App preferences, and locally stored diagnostics remain on your device unless you edit or delete them, clear local diagnostics through the App, delete the App, or remove them through available device or backup controls.
Limited request information processed by our backend may be retained temporarily as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the requested services.
If you manually submit an anonymous diagnostic report, it is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate technical issues, improve reliability, maintain service security, or comply with applicable legal obligations. It is then deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
Information processed through Apple services, including purchases, subscriptions, or iCloud, is retained and managed by Apple according to Apple’s applicable policies and your Apple account settings.
ApexView provides controls that may allow you to manage your information and privacy choices, including:
Because core financial records are stored locally on your device, deleting the App may remove locally stored App data unless that data has been included in a device backup or optional iCloud functionality that you enabled.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through our services.
Information transmitted between the App and our backend services is protected using standard encrypted internet connections where available and appropriate.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
ApexView is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided information to us in a way that requires removal, please contact us using the information below.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to personal information processed by us, which may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is processed.
Because most ApexView financial information is stored locally on your device rather than on our servers, you can generally access, edit, or delete that information directly within the App or by managing the App on your device.
For questions or requests concerning information submitted to our servers, such as manually submitted diagnostic reports, please contact us using the email address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our services, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date shown at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes available means that the updated policy applies to your continued use of the App, subject to applicable law.
